Hand Fillers

Hand Fillers

The use of anti-wrinkle treatment and dermal fillers to aid facial aesthetics has become increasingly popular over the last 10 years to give people a more youthful look. The hands, however, are often a ‘give away’ to a persons age as a loss of volume makes the tendons, veins and bones more apparent. This is where hand fillers can help.

FAQs

Why are hands important?

Our hands can often be a giveaway to our age as through the process of volume loss, our veins, tendons and bones become more obvious. We can replace lost volume with the use of dermal fillers.

What type of filler is used?

The hands are the only area where we use the semi-permanent calcium hydroxyapatite based filler, Radiesse.

How long do results last?

Due to the semi-permanent nature of the filler, it will last up to 2 years.

How is the treatment performed?

Your doctor will perform this treatment using a micro-cannula, usually using one small needle incision in each hand. This technique minimises the risk of bruising and swelling as it is minimally invasive.
