How is Profhilo different from dermal fillers?

Profhilo is a long lasting injectable moisturiser. It is a dispersible form of hyaluronic acid which intensely hydrates and stimulates the production of collagen and elastin. It is not a dermal filler and will not change the shape or structure of your face. Profhilo is perfect for someone looking for a refreshed appearance of the mid and lower face and complements upper face anti-wrinkle injections.

Where is Profhilo injected?

Profhilo is injected into five areas on each side of the face using the BAP (Bio Aesthetic Points) method allowing for maximum product diffusion. These injection sites are located on the mid and lower face and can be incorporated in conjunction with anti-wrinkle treatment on the upper face, improving skin tone.

Is Profhilo painful?

Most patients will describe stinging sensation during the injection, especially on the cheek and chin areas. However, the product takes roughly 10-15 seconds to be injected into each site, so the overall procedure is very quick and strong numbing cream is applied to minimise the discomfort.

Is there any downtime with Profhilo?

It is common to have small lumps localised to the injection sites. They will diffuse into the skin naturally and are normally not visible after 3-4 hours allowing you to resume your normal daily activity.

How often do you need Profhilo?
We do not advise treatment if you are pregnant, breast-feeding, have a neuro-muscular disorders or are on certain medications, including aminoglycosides (e.g. gentamicin, clarithromycin)
Is Profhilo the best option for me?
